Bridal Party Tips & Tricks

Here are some of the tips and tricks that have helped me photograph my Bridal Parties.
The choice of bridesmaid dresses

What year do you plan to get married?

This is a great idea! It can reduce the amount of choices you have for bridesmaids’ dresses.

Find out what flowers are currently in season. These colours will most likely be included in the bridal bouquets.

CHOOSING COLOURS BY THE SESSION

When you think of the four seasons, which wedding colors come to mind? For me, winter is all about reds, golds emerald and royal blues. The Spring is a great time to use pastels, and yellows. Bright colours like purples and pinks can be stunning in the summer sunshine. Last but not least, autumn is a time to enjoy auburn, oranges reds, dark greens, and reds.

It’s always good to think about the time of year when choosing your bridesmaid dresses.

CHOOSING RIGHT ACCESSORIES & ACCOUTREMENTS

Keep your bridesmaids warm during the winter because of the unpredictable Irish weather.

At many weddings, I have seen stunning faux-fur jackets, cropped jackets and stylish wraps to compliment bridesmaids dresses. These additional accessories can make the wedding photographs look stylish, and they have.

DECIDING THE DRESS LENGTH

Remember to consider the time of year as well as the style of your wedding when you decide on the length of your Bridesmaid Dresses. For a Christmas day, long dresses look festive. Shorter dresses are more appropriate for a summer day.

THINK MOBILITY!

It is the job of your bridesmaids to look after you on the big day. They will be responsible for keeping your train clean and your veil in perfect condition.

It is a smart idea to ensure that your bridesmaids are comfortable and able to move in the dress. To fix your wedding gown, they will need to bend down.

It’s unlikely that a gorgeous bridesmaid dress is going to be practical for you, the bride, on the big day. !

SUITING – DIFFERENT TYPES

How do you make a bridesmaid’s dress fit everyone? It is a difficult task in general.

You can also consider having your bridesmaids choose one colour but have them wear all the styles. This allows your bridesmaids and groomsmen to pick a style that suits them best. It also keeps everyone happy.

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT DIFFERENT COLOURS

You can have different colors for your bridesmaids, but I recommend they stay within the same colour scheme. So maybe all the bridesmaids are wearing purple but in different shades so they can still be identified as your bridesmaids.

My personal recommendation is that the bride chooses a color that fits the theme of her wedding. It is a great idea to have your maids of honor wear the same color as the invitations, flowers, and decorations if there is a particular color.

Most importantly, your bridesmaids should feel confident in their gowns and enjoy their special role on your wedding day.

Advice from the experts

When you plan for your wedding, whether it is choosing your own gown, your colour palette or your bridesmaids dresses, it is always best to plan in advance.

According to bridal shops and designers, it can take up to six months for designer bridesmaid gowns to arrive. This is why it’s important to include this in your timeline. To allow for individual alterations, the experts recommend that you order at least one calendar month in advance.
Be aware of your bridesmaids style and body type

We are all unique and come in many sizes. Each person can have their own style. Smart Brides recommends that you pick a style that suits all body types when selecting a bridesmaids dress. Ordering your champagne bridesmaid dresses together will ensure that each one arrives with the same colour tone and texture.
