I’m a big fan of jumpsuits, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who is trying to figure out what to wear with the perfect jumpsuit. How to style the look of a jumpsuit, how to wear different types of jumpsuits, how to dress an appropriate jumpsuit for various occasions and also figuring out the best footwear to pair to go with the jumpsuit.
I’ve always loved how elegant clothes look and how a single piece can create a whole outfit. They are a great way to look nice and elegant! For dresses, they are all done. I like wearing jumpsuits on trips! My summer outfits are comprised of bright , casual jumpsuits. They are easy to put together and are easy to carry around!
However, they can be intimidating and if they’re not worn properly, may look sloppy or make you appear shorter or taller than you actually are. There’s a reason why you mostly have white and black jumpsuits. They’re easier to put on and don’t have the risk of appearing like the latest fashionista with a outrageously printed jumpsuit. If you wear a white or black jumpsuit, you’ll elegant and stylish.
Like most of my clothes I choose to wear most classic and elegant pieces. I am a fan of the print, color and the variety of jumpsuit materials but because of my slim frame, I need to be mindful because pieces could completely swallow me up.
Let’s go over how to put on your jumpsuit and the things you need to remember the next time you’re trying to put together the perfect jumpsuit.
5 Style Tips for Putting Together Chic Jumpsuit Outfits
1. Find the perfect fit
A jumpsuit that is fitted to your body flawlessly is the key to appearing polished and well-put together. Make sure you don’t wear a dress that isn’t snug enough or loose.
If you’re wearing a dress that is too tight it could give an impression of that Catwoman look, and you may feel uncomfortable. If you’re wearing a jumpsuit that’s too loose you’ll completely lose your body shape and the outfit will engulf your body.
The chic white jumpsuit I’m wearing is halter-style and has a top and a waist cinched with a broad leg. It’s not too large or too small and I’m able to showcase my figure by showing just the proper amount of skin in the halter top , and an accentuated waist.
2. Define Your Waist
I want to stress the importance of not loosing your body shape. Many jumpsuits come with or have a belt made of cloth that is similar to the color of the outfit or you can effortlessly add your belt to highlight your waist. The cinching of your jumpsuit’s waistline is a fantastic option to add some feminine to your look and create that curvaceous style.
In this white jumpsuit I wrapped my belt in white to draw attention to my waist. It would have been nice to add the belt with black or gold to give the look more depth however, I wanted to prove that you don’t have to dress up in the form of a jumpsuit.
3. Wear the jumpsuit with a Blazer
I love adding dimension in my clothes! Even though this white dress could be worn by itself but I thought it would be interesting to demonstrate how easy it is to include a blazer in order to make it more unique.
If you’ve never put on the jumpsuit prior to wearing a blazer, it will make you feel more at ease as compared to wearing it without. It brings the look together and helps make the look more subtle.
When choosing a blazer, or jacket, pick one that complements the look of the jumpsuit and is appropriate for the event. The outfit is suitable at a cocktail party for formal dinners or going out for elegant drinks with your acquaintances. Think about where you plan to wear your dress and pick a blazer that elevates it or gives it a more casual look.
4. Wear Heels with a wide leg jumpsuit
If you’re unsure of which shoes to pair when you’re wearing a jumpsuit, always wear heels! If it’s not a casual beach-wearable jumpsuit. The heels are a fashion that I follow since it is important not to look unflattering or sexy. Give the appearance of being tall and slim by not having the bottom of the dress get tangled up. In the event that I wore this broad-leg jumpsuit with flats or sandals the bottom will appear messy. It’s as if I’m wearing a garment which doesn’t fit. I’d look shorter.
The shoes you put on with your wide-leg jumpsuits must be slimmer. Beware of wedges, clogs or any other footwear with a high heels.
5. Wear a Solid Color Jumpsuit
If you’re not a fan of jumpsuits, put on a casual outfit and choose a classic black or navy or dark-colored print jumpsuits. If you’re feeling adventurous choose an outfit with a tiny print like stripes or the brightest color!
