An Online DBS check offers many advantages. They not only save time, but they also make it easier for applicants to be onboarded. No more paper applications for your applicants. They will be guided online through an interactive Smart Form.

Online Smart Form – Cross-referencing and error checking systems are built into the system to ensure accuracy in every check. Only applicants who have entered all required information, including address history for five years, can proceed to our Smart Form.
Status updates: Track the progress of applications through the whole process, while we do all the work. An online system will allow you to track how applications are progressing through the process. You can see when they have been submitted and when applicants haven’t completed their forms. We will remind your applicants to complete the form.
Electronic results: Save time by obtaining clear disclosure certificates online. After an application has been received by the DBS, we will notify the applicant of the result. We won’t need to wait for the paper certificate. We will inform you of applications with conviction information so that you do not have to wait for the paper certificate.
Recheck reminder: We offer a custom recheck reminder that will remind you not to keep spreadsheets of applicants who have successfully completed their DBS check. This reminder can be added to your existing policy. A notification will be sent to the applicant when their DBS check is due to expire.

How long does an online DBS check take?

You won’t need to chase applicants for additional information or worry about mistakes in the paper forms. We offer pro-active follow up services for applicants. This includes calls to your applicants in order to help them with their DBS check, and to remind them to fill out their online application. The average turnaround time for DBS results is shown below:

Basic DBS check – 24 to 48 hours

Standard DBS check – 2-3 days

Enhanced DBS checks – 8 days. 76% returned in less than five days and 43% returned within one day.
